Barlaston Methodist Church has served the village community of Barlaston for over 75 years. Our mission is to serve the community and to ensure that the Church is an integral part of village life. Our aim is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ through interaction and service.

As well as providing for Sunday morning family worship and junior church, the 2nd North Staffs Boys Brigade meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, our Youth Club meets on Friday evenings and our Bridge Club meet on Monday afternoons. We also have a Ladies Guild that meets on the second Tuesday of each month and a coffee morning on the last Friday of each month to which anyone is welcome. We are always happy to welcome people into our community and we aim to help people find their “latent” gifts and talents.

Following the establishment of our Youth Club two years ago to meet a need for this sort of provision within the village, we have recently begun a monthly Sunday evening meeting called “Revolution” to allow local teenagers to explore moral and faith issues in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Enjoying strong links with the Parish Church of St John the Baptist in the village, we share worship with them on the fourth Sunday of each month.

Our recently extended and refurbished premises are conducive to an informal, relaxed and inclusive style of worship and well-suited to all our other activities. We are pleased to make our hall, kitchen and meeting rooms available for general community use when possible and they are often used for children’s birthday parties and similar events.
