Methodism in Stafford

Sited on the Main road through Gnosall we are easy to find and welcome all, young and old. Methodists have been meeting close to the present location for over 200 years encouraged through Worship activities and prayer to serve the local and wider communities.

Methodism has always focused on practical application of Christian beliefs in the world. This is very much included within a range of concerns assisted by our church formally or by individuals as part of their personal calling.

We co-operate ecumenically with the Anglican family of St Lawrence's Church and Roman Catholics from the village. We celebrate Christian festivals with special events and some of our family engage in activities; particularly Open the Book within the local school, Gnosall St Lawrence CoE Primary Academy.

We support a wide range of charitable organisations though our actions both practical and financial. Christian Aid is a major charity which brings Christians together in the village through house to house collection envelopes.

Church groups meet as advertised, we support many village events and throughout the week our buildings are used by a number of groups from within the village and wider. These include a Pre school, Pilates class, Theatre and Painting groups. Our premises are available for short and long term hire.
