Hello, I am David Bintliff, the Superintendent Minister of Stafford Methodist Circuit from September 2022.
I am reasonably new to wearing my dog collar, having served 5 years in the North Cheshire Methodist Circuit. Before ordination, I worked as a fresh expression's worker for the Methodist Church, developing new ways of being community together and finding ways to support and affirm those who might otherwise not feel at home within more traditional contexts of church life. Before that, I worked as a youth worker in Chesterfield, supporting and developing youth programs and participation across the town. So, my experience of missional development, church/circuit review and practical church engagement has been developed over the past 17 years.
I look forward to working with those in community around Stafford, supporting mission, social justice, and discipleship. I believe strongly in collaborative ministry and in the need for the Church to be active, effective and relevant in its role of deepening faith and expressing to people the love of God.
Away from church business, I engage in building community online, as a gamer and content creator. I am a fan of films, board games and music. I am married, we have a daughter, and a family dog.
We all look forward to this next stage of ministry in and around Stafford.
