Muddy Church is church outdoors.

It is an opportunity for people of all ages to encounter God through creation and experience worship in a fresh and different way.

Taking place outside in our church grounds and surrounding areas, Muddy Church encourages us to slow down, notice the world around us and discover what God can teach us through nature. It is fully intergenerational, meaning children, young people, adults and older members of the community all take part together.

Activities vary throughout the year and may include nature walks, outdoor games, creative activities using natural materials, storytelling, Bible readings, prayer stations, reflection and discussion. Sometimes we wander together, sometimes we sit and reflect, and sometimes we simply enjoy being outside in God's creation.

Despite the name, Muddy Church does not usually involve getting muddy, although we do encourage everyone to dress appropriately for the weather and outdoor conditions. Seating is available and we aim to make the experience accessible for all.

We meet at 4pm and spend around an hour together, with refreshments available before and after the session. If the weather is particularly wet or challenging, we move indoors to the church hall.

Muddy Church offers a unique opportunity to connect with God, each other and the natural world in a relaxed and meaningful way.
